SELENIUM ALKOSEL®
ALKOSEL® is an inactivated yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCYC R397) containing high concentrations of Selenium (Se 2.2 mg/Kg) in its organic form L(+)-SELENOMETHIONINE, which is particularly bioavailable.
Selenium is useful for many biological functions, such as:
• Cell-mediated immunity
• Scavenging of free radicals
Selenium enables the reactions catalyzed by the enzyme Glutathione peroxidase (GPx), including the production of glutathione (GSH), important for immune system homeostasis.

• Selenoprotein P – Transport and distribution of selenium in target cells
• Glutathione peroxidase – Degradation of peroxides, moonlighting activity

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
The product can be administered directly into the pet’s mouth or mixed together with the complete feed of choice. In case of wary subjects, it is possible to apply the paste on the paw, and the pets will ingest the product when licking their paw.
Recommended daily intake, based on pet weight:

With L-Lysine, Vitamin E, Zinc
With Selenium ALKOSEL®, with Echinacea extract
In case of increased need, it is possible to double the daily intake.
Complete the daily intake with the usual feed. It is suggested to take a balanced daily meal. Always leave fresh water available.
