Low Dose CYTOKINES
The term Cytokines refers to a wide range of protein components produced by cells in response to a large variety of inducing stimuli.
The concept may be considered valid that the action of Cytokines is targeted to specific receptors on the target cells, in order to activate a series of functional changes in which they play a key role as follows:
- Agents capable of promoting growth, proliferation, cell differentiation (Growth Factors)
- Agents capable of establishing a communication network in the Immune System (Lymphokines- Interleukins)
- Agents involved in inflammation (Chemokines- Lymphokines)
Cytokines clearly show to play a key role in the coordination of the immune and inflammatory responses.
Therefore, from a biological viewpoint, cytokines are the "weavers" of a complex network of interactions which is called Immune Network.
So, this is a network of complex interactions, regulated only by low dose mechanisms of stimulation (homeopathic-like dosages:10 -10 M), which is nevertheless sufficient to sensitize or occupy some units of cell or plasma receptors. This threshold allows to trigger chain reactions that regulate the immunological network through a potentiating effect (Complex Systems).
Physiological low doses of Cytokines, activated with SKA method (Sequential Kinetic Activation) are packed in 30 ml bottles, in water-alcohol solution. The concentration in the medicament is picograms/ ml, corresponding to the 4CH homeopathic dilution.
Their prescription must be based on the study of the physiopathology of the different immunological mediators as well as on the patient's disease.
They exert a stimulating action on the physiological function of their homologous cytokine.
It is recommended to combining the use of low dose immunological intermediates with a homotoxicological drainage treatment of the liver.
Therapeutic protocols
The duration of treatment depends on individual clinical cases and on the severity of disease.
Usually, for chronic diseases, treatment cycles last two months at least and be repeated, preferably after a 15-day discontinuation. For acute diseases, a treatment cycle lasts until remission of symptoms.
Sometimes an attack treatment can be chosen with 10 drops every 20 minutes for 2 hours at most.
Therapeutic strategy
Cytokines may be prescribed in two different ways:
According to an etiological decision making:
- If the pathological condition is the result of a down-regulation (deficit) of a certain cytokine, the same cytokine will be used;
- if the pathological condition is the result of an up-regulation (surplus) of a certain cytokine, the so-called " counterregulatory cytokine" will be used.
According to a symptomatic decision making process:
- a certain cytokine is prescribed according to the patient’s symptoms.
