Indications:

Dosage:
Ointment: Apply to the affected parts and rub in, morning and evening, or if necessary, more often, possibly also applying an ointment dressing.

Ointment: 100 g cont.: Arnica montana D3 1.5 g; Calendula officinalis ¯, Hamamelis virginiana ¯ 0.45g each; Echinacea angustifolia ¯, Echinacea purpurea ¯, Chamomilla recutita ¯ 0.15 g each; Symphytum officinale D4, Bellis perennis ¯ 0.1g each; Hypericum perforatum D6, Achillea millefolium ¯ 0.09 g each; Aconitum napellus D1, Atropa belladonna D1 0.05 g each; Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni D6 0.04 g; Hepar sulfuris D6 0.025 g.
Ointment base: Hydrophilic ointment, preserved with 12.5 vol.-% ethanol.

Traumeel S is a homeopathic preparation.

Do not use Traumeel S Ointment
- if you are allergic to the active substances, plants in the daisy family (arnica, camomile, yarrow) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Traumeel S Ointment.
You must talk to a doctor or pharmacist if you do not feel better or if you feel worse.
Ingredients of the medicine may cause local allergic reactions. Do not apply the ointment to a large area of the body or directly to open sores. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, open wounds or broken skin.
Other medicines and Traumeel S Ointment
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines, including over-the-counter medicines.
Interaction with other medicinal products has not been reported and is not expected due to homeopathic dilutions.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Homeopathic dilutions of the substances in this medicinal product are not known to be harmful during pregnancy and lactation.
Driving and using machines
No effects of Traumeel S Ointment on the ability to drive or use machines have been observed and are not expected due to homeopathic dilutions.
Traumeel S Ointment contains cetostearyl alcohol
This may cause local skin reactions (eg contact dermatitis).
Traumeel S Ointment contains ethanol
This medicine contains 111 mg of alcohol (ethanol) in one g of ointment (11.1% w/w). This may cause a burning sensation on the affected skin.
- How to use Traumeel S Ointment
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist> have told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Apply ointment on the affected or painful area and massage it gently into the skin; use in the morning and in the evening or more frequently of needed; can be used as an ointment bandage.
If you use more Traumeel S Ointment tablets than you should
No case of overdose has been reported and is not expected due to homeopathic dilutions. If you have exceeded the recommended dose, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to use Traumeel S Ointment
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
If you stop using Traumeel S Ointment
If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
- Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
There is a possibility of rare allergic reactions, such as skin rash, redness, pricking sensation or sweating in persons with hypersensitivity to plants in the daisy family. Stop using the medicine if any side effects occur.
The excipient cetostearyl alcohol may cause local allergic reactions (eg contact dermatitis).

- How to store Traumeel S Ointment
This medicine does not require any special storage conditions. Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use Traumeel S Ointment after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
