MAIN INDICATIONS
MD-ISCHIAL is a medical device designed to improve the movement of the lumbosacral spine and lower limbs and to reduce sciatic pain (especially in cases of herniated discs in vertebrae L4-L5, L5-S1), counteracting physiological or pathological deterioration of the joints and tissues involved in cases of:
• Sciatica
• Reduced lower limb mobility
• Lower limb muscle stiffness
• Lower limb pain:
— of muscular and/or nerve origin
— due to prolonged bed rest
— due to aging
— due to bad posture
— due to concomitant chronic diseases
— due to traumas and injuries.
Combination with MD-LUMBAR is recommended in cases of pain in the lumbosacral segment of the spine.
Treatment can be combined with other therapies.
THERAPEUTIC PROTOCOL:
1 treatment per week: subcutaneous injection in the trigger points and/or in the periarticular area of one (2 ml) or two vials (4 ml) per treatment.
Results are evident from the third week but, depending on the patient's clinical situation, it is possible to continue treatment up to the tenth week without risk.
COMPOSITION
Collagen of porcine origin, Rhododendron, NaCl, Water for injection.

INJECTION ROUTES OF ADMINISTRATION
Periarticular and subcutaneous in the trigger points.
SUGGESTED NEEDLE
Periarticular: 26G x 13 mm needle.
Note: Disinfect the skin thoroughly with iodopovidone or chlorhexidine.
INJECTION TECHNIQUES OF ADMINISTRATION
• Periarticular administration: insert the needle near the sacroiliac joint to a depth of 4-6 mm.
• Intramuscular administration: insert the needle at variable depth into the following points along the sciatic nerve pathway:
— middle gluteus
— subgluteus
— popliteal cavity
— between the twin muscles of the triceps muscle of the sura
— under the external malleolus.
