Parotitis, Mumps

Ingredients: Belladonna D6, Barium iodatum D6, Pulsatilla D6, Ethanol, Aqua pur.

Indications:
Inflammation of the salivary glands, e.g., as a result of mumps.

Mode of Action:
All of the single components of this homoeopathic combination remedy influence the course of simple inflammation of the salivary glands.

Belladonna: Anti-inflammatory and anti-fever; the main symptoms are sudden febrile inflammation of various organs with heat, redness and swelling.
Barium iodatum: Helps the lymphatic system. Enlarged and hard glands are part of the symptom picture of this remedy.
Pulsatilla: Helps the mucous membranes and reproductive glands; the main symptoms being orchitis, oophoritis caused by mumps.

Dosage:
Unless otherwise recommended, in acute cases 5–10 drops up to a maximum of 12 times daily.
If symptoms persist, seek further advice from a practitioner.

Contraindications: Not to be administered without prior medical consultation in cases of diseases of the thyroid.
