1. What are Oteel ear drops, and what are they used for?
Oteel is a homeopathic medicine used to treat local (external) conditions related to the ear. It is used for the symptomatic treatment of earaches. If your symptoms worsen or do not improve within 48 hours, or if you develop a fever, please contact your doctor.
2. When should you not use Oteel ear drops or use them with caution?
When should you not use Oteel?
- If you are allergic to any of the active ingredients in this medicine.
- If you are allergic to plants from the Compositae (Asteraceae) family.
When should you exercise caution with Oteel?
If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine. There is no sufficient data available on the effects of this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Driving and operating machinery:
There is no known effect on driving or operating machinery.
3. How to use Oteel ear drops?
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are not sure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Adults and children over 12 years:
- 4 drops in the affected ear, 4 times daily.
Children under 12 years:
- 2 to 3 drops in the affected ear, 4 times daily.
Lie down on your side when applying the drops, and stay in this position for a few minutes to allow the drops to settle. You may experience a temporary worsening of symptoms at the start of treatment; if it persists, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to use Oteel: Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Simply continue with your next dose.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them.
5. How to store Oteel ear drops?
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not store above 30°C. After opening, use within 6 months. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer used.
