Stomach Drops
Ingredients:
Anacardium D6, Argentum nitricum D6, Arsenicum album D4, Belladonna D4, Carbo vegetabilis D8, Chamomilla D2, Chelidonium D3, Lycopodium D5, Nux vomica D4, Scrophularia nodosa D1
Indications:
Especially ulcus parapyloricum
Acute and chronic gastritis
Dyspepsia
Chronic relapsing gastritis with or without ulceration
Heartburn, bad taste in mouth, frequent belching, flatulence, meteorism
Acts on the inflamed mucosa of the stomach and supports normal gastric function
Mode of Action:
• Anacardium: Gastric complaints improving after eating; pains around midnight
• Argentum nitricum: Epigastric complaints; noisy and frequent belching with temporary improvement
• Arsenicum album: Burning pain in the stomach with vomiting; acts on mucous membranes
• Belladonna: Epigastric sensitivity to pressure; nausea, vomiting
• Carbo vegetabilis: Sensation of fullness; asthenia and exhaustion
• Chamomilla: Nervous hypersensitivity and irritability; stomach swelling
• Chelidonium: Liver and bile support; choleretic; improves gastric disorders after food intake
• Lycopodium: Gastrointestinal disturbances; bitter mouth taste; loss of appetite; constipation; flatulent colic
• Nux vomica: Nervous irritability; hypochondria; stomach constriction; disturbances due to nicotine
• Scrophularia nodosa: Griping abdominal pain; hyperacidity relieved after eating
Note:
In some sensitive patients, symptoms may worsen initially (primary reaction). In such cases, discontinue treatment for 1–2 days. Upon resuming, improvement usually continues. Alternatively, reduce the dose or administer with food.
Use of Dr. Reckeweg R5 tends to progressively reduce the severity and frequency of relapses until complete relief is achieved.
Dosage:
• General: 10–15 drops in water, 3 times daily before meals
• After symptom resolution: 10–15 drops once daily before the main meal to prevent relapses and support the neuro-vegetative system
Remarks:
• Initial use of neutralizing substances (for hyperacidity) does not impair R5’s effectiveness
• Diet: Favor easily digestible foods. Avoid fermentative items (legumes, cabbage), heavy fats (oil, sardines, smoked fish, fried potatoes). Chew well, avoid tobacco, reduce sugar intake
• With liver complaints: additionally use R7, 2–4 times daily between meals
• For colics: additionally use R37
• For pancreatic involvement: additionally use R72
