MAIN INDICATIONS
MD-SMALL JOINTS is a medical device designed to improve joint mobility and to reduce associated pain, counteracting the physiological or pathological deterioration of small joints (hand, foot, ankle) and tissues in case of:
• Metacarpophalangeal osteoarthritis
• Proximal interphalangeal osteoarthritis
• Rhizarthrosis
• Tarsalgia/metatarsalgia
• Sprains
• Dysarthrosis
• Small joints pain syndromes:
− of muscular and/or nerve origin
− due to aging
− due to concomitant chronic diseases
− due to traumas and injuries.
The treatment can be combined with other therapies.
THERAPEUTIC PROTOCOL:
1-2 infiltrations per week to contain physiological or pathological deterioration of small joints and ligaments.
Results are evident from the third week but, depending on the patient's clinical situation, it is possible to continue treatment up to the tenth week without risk.
COMPOSITION
Collagen of porcine origin, Viola, NaCl, Water for injection.

Box of 10 vials (single vial 2 ml – extraction volume).
INJECTION ROUTES OF ADMINISTRATION
Periarticular and intraarticular.
SUGGESTED NEEDLES
• Periarticular: 26G x 13 mm needle.
• Intraarticular: 20G x 20 mm needle.
Note: Disinfect the skin thoroughly with iodopovidone or chlorhexidine.
INJECTION TECHNIQUES OF ADMINISTRATION
• Periarticular administration: insert the needle near the joint, parallel to the capsular plane, to a depth of 6-13 mm.
• Intraarticular administration: insert the needle perpendicular to the skin and into the small joints.
