Contraindications
Do not take this product in cases of progressive systemic diseases such as tuberculosis, sarcoidosis, systemic diseases of the white blood cell system (for example leukemia or leukemia-like disorders), autoimmune diseases such as inflammatory connective tissue diseases (collagenoses), multiple sclerosis, immunodeficiency disorders (including AIDS/HIV infection), or immunosuppression (for example after organ or bone marrow transplantation).
Do not use if you are allergic to Achillea millefolium, Matricaria recutita, Calendula officinalis, Bellis perennis, Echinacea, Arnica montana, other plants of the daisy family (Asteraceae/Compositae), or any other ingredient of this medicinal product.
Precautions for use
For use in adults and children from 2 years of age.
In patients with atopic conditions such as neurodermatitis, allergic asthma, or hay fever, there may be an increased risk of allergic reactions. Such patients should therefore use this medicinal product only after consulting a doctor.
Medicinal products containing Echinacea have in isolated cases been associated with autoimmune diseases.
With long-term use longer than 8 weeks, a reduction in white blood cells has been reported in individual cases.
Ask your doctor for advice before using any medicinal product during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Interactions
The effect of a homeopathic medicinal product may be adversely influenced by generally harmful lifestyle factors and by stimulants and luxury foods. Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used, or intend to use other medicinal products, including non-prescription medicines.
Warnings
This medicinal product contains 35% alcohol by volume.
10 drops contain 155 mg alcohol, corresponding to approximately 4 ml beer or 2 ml wine. The small amount of alcohol in this medicinal product does not have any noticeable effects.
Dosage and method of administration
Unless otherwise prescribed, take 10 drops 3 times daily.
For soft tissue swelling, take 30 drops 3 times daily.
Duration of use
Traumeel® S should not be taken for longer than 14 days without medical advice. If symptoms persist for more than 14 days, consult a doctor.
Side effects
Like all medicinal products, this medicinal product can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Increased salivation may occur after use; if this happens, discontinue the product.
Due to the homeopathic active ingredient Mercurius solubilis, allergic reactions may occasionally occur. In individual cases, hypersensitivity reactions can occur. For medicinal products containing Echinacea, rash, itching, rarely facial swelling, shortness of breath, dizziness, and a drop in blood pressure have been observed. In these cases, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
Note: When using homeopathic medicinal products, existing symptoms may temporarily worsen (initial aggravation). In this case, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
Composition
10 g (= 10.5 ml; 1 ml = 18 drops) contain:
- Atropa belladonna Dil. D4 – 2.5 g
- Aconitum napellus Dil. D3 – 1.0 g
- Symphytum officinale Dil. D8 – 0.8 g
- Calendula officinalis Dil. D2 – 0.5 g
- Hamamelis virginiana Dil. D2 – 0.5 g
- Achillea millefolium Dil. D3 – 0.5 g
- Matricaria recutita Dil. D3 – 0.8 g
- Echinacea Dil. D2 – 0.2 g
- Echinacea purpurea Dil. D2 – 0.2 g
- Hypericum perforatum Dil. D2 – 0.1 g
- Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni Dil. D8 – 1.0 g
- Hepar sulfuris Dil. D8 – 1.0 g
- Arnica montana Dil. D2 – 0.5 g
- Bellis perennis Dil. D2 – 0.2 g
Active ingredients 1 to 3 are potentized together at the penultimate step, and active ingredients 1 to 10 are potentized together at the final step with ethanol 30% (m/m). Active ingredients 11 and 12 are potentized at the penultimate step with purified water and at the final step with ethanol 15% (m/m).
Other ingredient: purified water.
Pharmaceutical form and pack sizes
Oral drops. Pack sizes: 30 ml and 100 ml.
Storage
Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the container and outer packaging. No special storage conditions are required.
